Job Opening: Registered Social Worker (Part-time)

With the support of the HKEX Foundation, we are expanding a meaningful project: "Working Caregiver Support Pilot Program," to drive systemic change in corporate culture. As our Part-time Registered Social Worker, you will work closely with our full-time social worker, standing at the forefront of this innovative project to promote caregiver-friendly workplaces.

Job Details

  • Position Type: Part-time
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, averaging 3 days per week (approximately 24 hours)
  • Vacancy: 1 opening
  • Work Location: Central and Western District
  • Benefits: Annual leave, birthday leave, medical insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Ambassador Training: Assist in recruiting, training, and guiding "Agewhale Caregiver Ambassadors."
  • Corporate Collaboration: Co-plan and execute activities with corporations.
  • Case Support: Provide individual consultation services for caregivers, including needs assessment, referral to suitable community resources, practical advice, and emotional support.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in handling project progress reports, outcome assessments, case records, and related administrative tasks.

  • Be at the forefront of social innovation: You will learn and implement innovative intervention models, transforming caregivers' experiences into a force for social change.
  • Gain corporate experience: You will have the opportunity to participate in our collaborations with corporations, gaining relevant experience in practicing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

We're Looking For Someone With the Following Qualities

Essential Requirements

  • Passionate about elderly and caregiver support services
  • HKCEE 5 passes or HKDSE 5 subjects at Level 2 or above, including Chinese and English
  • Diploma in Social Work or above
  • Two years or more experience in elderly or caregiver support services
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English, with good written Chinese and English skills
  • Proficient in general computer software operations
  • Responsible, empathetic, with good analytical and time management skills
  • Good skills in casework, planning, coordination, and activity implementation

Preferable Experience 

  • Experience in training or public speaking
  • Experience collaborating with corporates
  • Experience or knowledge in Narrative Therapy and Human Library

We provide plenty of exciting projects, ranging from research, fundraising, business development, company operations, and marketing, for our interns to take ownership of. Interns will have opportunities to make a real impact on the growth of Agewhale and complete the internship with concrete achievements to show to future employers.
